Three new projects

I should have probably posted about this earlier, but there are three exciting projects going on at the moment.

  • Funded by ARM Holdings Ltd., we're undertaking a literature review on learning gains from mobile technologies, in particular tablets. We're a fair way through this, and have idenfied around 35 candidate papers from the last few years, that all discuss learning gains from activities involving tablets.
  • Funded by Wikimedia UK, we are working with Emmanuel (of kiwix) on a project to "Enable Wiki-based teacher education". As part of this projects, we're working on upgrading our http://oer.educ.cam.ac.uk wiki, and then adding further features.
  • Funded by Leicester City Council, we're working on creating guidance for their secondary school teachers: "Understanding Open Educational Resources: Guidance for Schools".

These are all very exciting, and I'll post more about those projects in the near future!
